    Hey, I followed your links and downloaded the drivers. My phone is still registering as an “Unknown Device” under the device manager. Any suggestions?

    Make sure your epic is set up correctly to connect to you computer . On the dial key pad type in the following.

    ##8778# – A screen will open . UART should be MODEM and USB should be PDA – Many of the Epics have this backwards. Check these boxes and then tap your home button. The phone should now connect to your computer.

    Also make sure that if you have Windows Defender or other Virus Software Running that you disable it before trying to unzip your files. Windows Defender tries to block one click from unzipping.

    i have installed and uninstalled the driver and it’s still coming up “unknown device”. i have debugged it and made sure its on the back usb port and also that the modem and pda are right.. but still it hasn’t worked…

    Tried it, device was visible as unknown device after installing driver. Unplugged and like you did in the video and now my pc finds nothing. Tried ##8778# as you said and I do not see options that you said. I see three bubble buttons with AP,CP,ALL next to each. Tried selecting each of them and still no connection to pc. WTF!!!

    I downloaded the driver and unzipped it, but when I try to run it, I get an error message “setup.exe is not a valid win32 application” I’ve got Windows XP Service Pack 3.
